Fire departments taxed during
recent spell of natural cover fires; emergency
calls. Chief has simple request, please use some common
sense. |

Volunteer firemen based in
Owensville and Mt. Sterling answered 22 calls
between Monday, March 2, and Sunday when they
assisted city Power and Light Department
personnel secure a wind-damaged electric pole. |

state as training agency. “Department
Head” meeting |

Gasconade County E-911 reports
this week that the county’s dispatching service
has obtained certification from the state as a
training facility. The first “Department Head”
meeting for all emergency services departments
throughout Gasconade County was held on Monday.
